About Discover Edinburgh Fringe

Discover Edinburgh Fringe is an independent, unofficial planning guide for visitors to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. We are not the Festival Fringe Society and we are not affiliated with any venue or operator.

Our editorial stance is source-led. We build on official organisers, venue and operator pages, transport and accessibility sources, city and tourism authorities and primary ticketing channels. We do not use listicles - "best shows," "top comedy acts," "must-see" roundups - as factual sources, and we do not rank the programme.

Our promise is simple: useful before commercial. We may earn from some bookings, but recommendations stay editorial and we never let anyone pay to appear in them. Where we add booking links, they are clearly labelled and never change what we recommend.

The Fringe is open-access and its programme keeps changing through the summer, so we date our pages and tell you what to confirm on edfringe.com before booking. Spot something wrong or out of date? Tell us and we will fix it.
